In reaction to a Matthew West video I have written a clear explanation why Christian musicians are false teachers and are going to Hell. Here are the comments.

This is pitiful. He is just a copycat of the world. We are called OUT OF the world! We are not to imitate the world. This is part of the entire deception of Satan to lead you away from the actual Jesus Christ.

So this guy who is playing a game that seduces him to accept the Magic Arts and Satanic practices wants to lecture me on Matthew West being a true Christian and not harmful at all. He declares, “I never let Saten take hold of me” But it appears Satan has already gotten his claws so deep in this boy, that he only uses Christian language to protect Satan’s hold on him. This is common among those who belong to the apostate churches.

Actually, I know exactly what I am talking about. I have been in the Christian Music industry and a Music Pastor. You might not want to slander what you don’t know. Jude, that tiny, but powerful book in the Bible everyone overlooks because it stands in the shadow of Revelation at the end of the Bible, warns that this behavior is of false teachers. Don’t do it. Jude says that the false teacher also maligns dignities who are commissioned for certain purposes. 2 Peter condemns those who do these two things too. You might not want to do that either, since I am commissioned to expose and judge the sinful heresies of the Protestant churches. You ought not behave as you are behaving toward me. So let’s test Matthew.
2 Peter 2.3 declares emphatically that the false teacher merchandises those he should be ministering to.
” 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment” [2 Peter 2]
Matthew earns money from his ministry from those he is ministering to. That is merchandising you, exactly. Taking money for ministry is called ‘Balaam’s Reward” and it is condemned as a mark of the false teacher. I am going to quote you a long passage in 2 Peter 2. Please read it. Think carefully about what the LORD is saying there.
“14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage” [2 Peter 2]
Now consider what Matthew West and the churches that embrace him believe about sin. Listen to his great swelling words that are desolate and vain. His words speak as if he knows God, but John says he is a liar.
In one of his songs he directly lies as a kind of joke.
“If I catch you doing dances on TikTok
In a crop top, so help me God
You’ll be grounded till the world stops
I’m just kidding, no I’m not”
Evidently, Mr. West does not know the Bible. For it declares this about liars, whether joking or not, notice the “ALL” on liars in God’s words:
“8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” [Revelation 21]
That is at the end of the Bible and the End of Time and final and irrevocable. Do not follow after liars.
Matthew believes in the Lordship of Sinful Nature. That is the false doctrine that as long as we are in the body we cannot help but sin. You will find it addressed on our website here https://therootedword.com/trw-pages/12-foolish-doctrines/lordship-of-sinful-nature/ It means Matthew is still sinning and excuses it by contradicting God in the Scriptures.
In 1 John 1.5 it says that God is light and in Him is no darkness AT ALL. And that sets it up to condemn those who claim to know God, but still sin, walking in darkness.
“6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth” [1 John 1]
And as if that weren’t enough, John makes sure you haven’t missed the point by restating it in chapter 2..
“4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” [1 John 2]
“29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.” [1 John 2]
How can sin be righteousness? If you sin, you prove you have not known Him at all. You cannot be sinning and claim you are doing righteousness.
And in case you miss that point, John explains it further in chapter 3.
“3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” [1 John 3]
There is no way to get around these verses. John makes it so simple even a child understands what he is saying. And those who oppose what John says here prove they are not of the LORD, because they contradict the LORD God of Heaven.
” 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him” [1 John 3]
“24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” [1 John 3]
” 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments” [1 John 5]
When anyone talks about loving God, but claims Christians cannot stop sinning as long as they are in the body, that person is a liar and does not know God. If you cannot keeps God’s commandments and stop sinning, then you do not love God, you do not know God, you have not know Christ, and you do not have the Holy Spirit. These are John’s declarations by the Holy Spirit, with words breathed into him by God. Stop sinning!
