Question

My friends ask me what are Jesus’ commandments. I really don’t know what they are. We would like to know all of his commandments because we love him and don’t want to go to hell.

Thank you for asking that question. It is so important. Here are some resources on our website you can use by giving people.

I would suggest someone start with the first group of 4 resources. It corrects many false ideas the world and the apostate churches have planted with the gospel of the world. So we start with finding out what the Gospel Jesus preached was. Since we are looking at Jesus’ commandments we must ask whether the 10 Commandments of the Old Testament are still binding on Christians. So we look at the 10 Commandments in the New Testament. The first public teaching Jesus gave was The Sermon on the Mount. So we must become experts in this teaching in particular. So many who are preaching the gospel of the world have learned to abuse verses from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and by this they believe they are experts on this teaching. So based on The Rooted Word literal translation from the Greek we establish a true and straight teaching of The Sermon on the Mount. Lastly, after studying these resources we ask people to take the 40-Day Jesus Challenge. It is a schedule of reading through the 4 Gospel accounts in 40 days. We give a reading schedule that is easy to complete and we ask them to unplug from everything Christian for 40 days. The instructions are included on the page.

When these are finished there are still other important things to correct by listening closely to Scripture and not the theologies of men. The first and foremost of these topics is What is Justification? Since the apostate churches have twisted this around 500 years ago and build their whole false gospel on this, we address it as it really is from the Greek and in the actual Bible. Then we address the most pernicious false doctrine of the Protestant rebellion: sinful nature. We call it what it really is: The Lordship of Sinful Nature. Once we see from the Bible from cover to cover that many people were called by God as righteous or pure or godly or upright, then we know that it truly is possible to stop sinning. When we learn this from the Bible we start to see that there are apostate churches teaching people they must sin. So the next resource is a collection of the passages in the New Testament that lists sins. Finally, since Christian music is populated completely by false teachers, according to 2 Peter 2.3 (“And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”). Those musicians and songwriters and performers fulfill this exactly. They desire more… more fame, more honor, more money, more opportunities, etc… That is covetousness. They create words from their experience of how people responded to what they wrote before. That means they are rehearsing words and adjusting them each time to elicit specific emotions. These are exactly feigned words, rehearsed words meant to elicit certain reactions. And do I need to point out that they charge for their ministries for those to whom they are supposed to be ministering? They are false teachers and we must stop altogether listening to their seducing spirits by which they mesmerize you so you buy their merchandise and go to their concerts. So, we include 50 new hymns to express truths and the emotions of the Christian life in song.
